Materials & media
Paula uses primarily 100% cotton rag paper with a neutral ph. Her favorite papers are made by Fabriano, Daler-Rowney and Sennelier. Her favorite watercolor pigments came from Sennelier, Schmincke, Old Holland and Rembrandt.
Although transparent watercolor is her primary medium, many paintings include other water media, acrylic inks, metal leaf and/or metallic powders in a gum arabic base. Paula also loves to experiment with hand-made papers and more recently water media on canvas. Where these materials are used for support, they are noted in the painting description.
